Does Drew replace our draftsman or engineer?+
No. Drew provides drafting capacity for the existing team. Drafting leads, checkers and engineers retain design intent, exceptions and judgment.
Does our design IP leave our systems?+
No. Drew can run on-prem and works inside the engineering team's approved CAD and PDM/PLM environment. Models, drawings, parts libraries, specifications, BOMs and calculations remain on the team's systems.
Can Drew make engineering decisions?+
No. Design intent, tolerance and GD&T decisions, calculations, code judgment and engineering approval are human-only boundaries.
Which CAD environments can Drew work in?+
Drew operates through approved copilots and APIs in CAD environments the engineering team already uses, including SolidWorks, Autodesk Revit and Fusion, and parametric code-CAD with CadQuery or build123d. The pilot confirms the exact platform, version and minimum permissions.
Can Drew stamp or release drawings to fabrication?+
No. Drew prepares checked-ready drawing work and release PDFs from an approved source. A licensed engineer always checks, stamps where required and releases every drawing.
What result do we measure?+
One agreed scoreboard: handling time, cycle time, checker approval rate, hold rate and drafting hours returned. No generic “AI transformation” metric.
